~~~ThE bUsY dAyS oF sUmMeR~~~
I have kind of forgotten that we had a blog. Looking back at pictures I realized that we have done a lot since school got out. The kids have had two sessions of swimming lessons. Braydan and Braxtan are now at the pre swim team level and Taya has finally passed level one. We had many evenings at the ball parks this spring and summer. I was able to coach Braydans' team again this year. We had a pretty good team and had tons of fun. Braxtan played t-ball for the first time this year and was annoyed after every game. I think he was planning on playing the real deal and that didn't happen. I personally think t-ball is a joke! they put 15 kids out on a field and say go for it! They don't teach them positions, how to hold the bat or even how to throw the ball. I think all in all he enjoyed it but am not sure he will want to play again next year. We have taken a few trips to the cabin. There was a lot of critter catching while we were there. Lizards, horny toads, bugs, butterflies, frogs, etc, etc. We also kicked of July with a pretty fun 4th of July BBQ with a lot of our friends and family. There was a lot of good food, people, pinatas and fireworks that we topped off with movies and Guitar Hero on the garage..... I bet the neighbors loved us for that one. Tony was able to score two weeks of vacation this summer. For the first week we were able to lay low and get some stuff around the house done. During the second week we took the kids for a little day trip over to Boulder. I had never been past Bryce so I was excited to see what all the talk was about. We had a great time and spent a good part of the day hiking up Calf Creek, then we were able to meet up with some friends in Tropic that we had not seen in a while. After that we took the fam to Salt Lake. We were only there for three days but we sure did a lot. We went to the drive in movie, the Living Planed Aquarium, the Mayan, then up to Clinton to visit friends and then on Friday we spent the day at Raging Waters. After we were done in Salt Lake we came home and took the kids to Grandpa Scott and Grandma Adela's for a sleep over so that Tony and I could go hike the Subway in Zions with our friends Jason and Staci. That was such an awesome experience and would recommend it to anyone! Between all of this there were many day trips on the Rhino and fun filled outings. I am almost excited for life to slow down but don't see that happening in the near future so I guess we will have to enjoy it while we can!
